Since 1940, radio, TV and film students have found a home at the University of Alabama. The Telecommunication and Film Department (formerly, Broadcast and Film Communication) continued that tradition into the 21st century with superior production and teaching facilities and engaging faculty.
In 2016, the TCF Department was merged with the Department of Journalism to form the Department of Journalism and Creative Media.
